I have been jonesing for comics again. My son in law bought a signed Avengers comic. I have been really into Batman lately...watched the recent "Batman Year One" and remembering my blog post last year called "Of Childish Things" the Batman Theme song...I just love The Dark Knight.  He is real. No super powers. Just wit and tech. The loss of his parents at age 8...his continual melancholic borderline psychosis dedicating him as a vigilante of the night.

So I decided to collect again. I downloaded digital copies of Arkham Asylum (1989) and Arkham City (2011) to get to read the ones I am soon going to buy for collection. You just don't read a comic, so I am thankful for the bootleg digitizers out there. I am honorable enough to do it and buy it, though.

Batman Arkham Asylum appealed to my darker side and appreciation of a dark art format. Batman is mostly drawn as a shadow.

Made it safely to Vegas. Used up most of my money moving, but was able to gamble some nickels at a local grocery store I walked to. I doubled my 3 dollars and walked away.

Last year around this time I discovered a blog community called  "Bloggers Unite"

Bloggers Unite is an attempt to harness the power of the blogosphere to make
the world a better place. By asking bloggers to write about a particular subject,
a single voice can be joined with thousands to help make a difference.

I discovered there were two causes that I wanted to join in on. World Peace and  the Homeless.

This year I am still the same bloggie so I am going to try to join in them again!

Last year I made two YouTube Videos for my two blogs. My blog "Question Liberty" was to highlight my cool Liberty Bell manipulation and to shortly question political topics. Since I am not too political or angry, my posts have been few. But I really loved making this "Profane Michelangelo" . God created Man. Man created the bomb. I called it "I am ATom"!

Now they have one on the strip (the other one is off strip and around the crack triangle)

By the time this posts...We will be on our way! 

On the home front...
My kids are coming up financially, but I am all in on it-broke. Wah.  I do have the traditional coin purse change to give to Nevada when I get there at the first gas or pee stop. But if they don't have the old style coin drops when you win or press "payout", it won't be fun. I have that sound on my poker app on my android.  In six years living there, I won once 300. My mom was there and we spent it on her visit-gambling some more.

 I really want to play quarter Roulette. The pauper tables used to be two dollar minimum. A one time 40 buck gambling spree ought to do me. You know if you live in Vegas you don't gamble...it is said..by someone..

For real, I hashed out living in legal gambling way long ago. I lived in Vegas 6 yrs and Montana 4yrs. I only gambled in Montana slightly because I lived in a bodunk town of 500 population and managed a Truck Stop Casino (saw it was not really stealing your money it was give and take). I did it for the free beer in Montana...I would nurse a couple of bottles playing nickel Keno and poker.  In Vegas I only gambled once a year maybe twice. I want to try to do a monthly 20 dollar Megabucks trial, though because I witnessed a 18 grand winner when my mom was visiting. It would be nice if I could count cards and be subtle about it...there are some who win regularly. If you are discovered...they ban you. I am not that quick with my mind.

Mostly, I am sacrificing a lonely older lady life fishing, watching birds and walking the mall to a lonely older lady  life walking around lights and free spectacles and walking more malls. LOL Concerts and conventions galore, though. And there is the must see Hard Rock Cafe.  I never did go see Roy Orbison's Harley when I was there.lol I checked out the link to the Hard Rock Memorabilia...think that is the first casino tour I will do.

I surely won't miss the snow.

As I crawled in the Virtual Dumpster I call The Internet, 
The theme of my diet blog is before and after and I manipulate mostly vintage posters into before and after pictures to begin each blog post. I managed to meet a fair amount of bloggers with the same goal.
When I Google image search "vintage posters" I get about 2,530,000 results (0.35 seconds)

I noticed a fair share of recent ones I have done "vintage chocolate posters" are French! I wondered why and of course, Googled it.

It was during a period called "The Belle Époque" 1880–1914 in France which included the famous Henri de Toulouse Latrec. Toulouse Latrec painted and  did many Moulin Rouge Posters. He featured a can can dancer by the name of Jane Avril.

That first photo looks like she is holding a fake leg, but I guess she CAN can those yams! LOL

New Beginning.

In a month time or more depending on how the Internet gets situated,

I lived there from 1988 to 1994. It is different when you live there. The population is 570,000. It is rated 3 in the most violent crimes and property crimes in Neighborhood Scout's top 100 most dangerous cities in the US.
That list is surprising.  Here are the top ten. No LA, No Bronx, No Crooklyn...No South Central...hmm.
