The best program I ever found in the Dumpster!

post edit February 2011
DUE TO RECENT RESEARCH ON WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO BUST PEOPLE WHO PREACH COPYING IS OK:  i deleted this post.
I am just a grandma is bored blog. I don't want any trouble with big brother. I use the free stuff online because I am not a consumer I am a survivor. If it were not available here, I would not buy it. I would listen to radio and watch TV and rent a redbox now and then...I would probably get out more, too.
Can you imagine the shut ins and handicapped people who benefit from being able to access things online?  Well I am neither of the latter, but it is inviting to see streams of new movies and listen to all the songs the order I want them in from time to time.

The MP3 format is not illegal, because it just a way to compress numerical data. On the other hand, its use may be illegal. MP3s must comply with copyrights: you can make a copy (backup) of a song for which you have the original. Thus, if you download an MP3 you may not keep it more than 24 hours if you don't have the original.
However, there are many free-distribution MP3 files. This allows lesser-known groups to distribute their work at a lower cost, and is a great way to discover new talent at a lower price.
It may also be very practical to burn an audio CD from these files. This may be read on any CD player or car radio with a CD player... [read more about MP3 format and audio CD's here]
On June 23, 2010, Judge Louis Stanton ruled in Google's favor in a motion for summary judgment, holding that Google was protected by provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, notwithstanding evidence of intentional copyright infringement.
Viacom announced its intention to appeal the ruling.

I REMEMBER BACK IN THE DAY WHEN I WOULD USE MY DAD'S RECORDING EQUIPMENT AND MAKE TAPES OF MUSIC OFF THE RADIO. WITH ALLOWANCE BEING SO SMALL AND REALLY I HAD NO MEANS TO GET AROUND AND GO BUY A RECORD OR A RECORD PLAYER TO PLAY IT,...

WHO SAYS THAT KIDS THAT DO IT NOW ARE CRIMINALS? THEY ARE DESPERATE AND WANT TO LISTEN TO TUNE IN THE ORDER THEY WANT TO IF THEY WANT TO, BUT ARE CONTENT WITH THE FREE RADIO AS WELL.

BUT WHAT HAS INTERNET BECOME? A BAITING GROUND FOR YOUTH TO GET IN TROUBLE.  YOU WANT TO PUT A SONG ON YOUR MP3 BUT YOU ARE LUCKY YOU GET YOUR WARDROBE AND SHOES RENEWED BUT EVERY SCHOOL YEAR AND MAYBE CHRISTMAS....DAMN AT LEAST HEARING YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC IS FREE ONLINE, AND IF YOU WANT TO TAKE IT AND PUT IT ON YOUR MP3 AND RIDE YOUR BIKE WITH IT...YOU ARE NOT A CRIMINAL...YOU ARE A HAPPY BROKE YOUTH!  MAYBE GO TO 7-11 TO CELEBRATE WITH A FRIEND AND SHARE A BIG GULP!
