A tidbit I found in the Virtual Dumpster that I missed if it was in the news back in 2000...
The Taliban banned opium in 2000, leaving many farmers destitute but causing drug production to hit a historic low in 2001, when the US invaded.
As I binged NetFlix's, OZARK I did not know if it were FACT OR FICTION that heroin from poppy can be from domestically grown poppies...so had to research.
